AI chairman Rajiv Bansal on Tuesday issued an order saying: “…concerns arising out of COVID-19 pandemic continues all across our country as well as all over the world leading to several emergency situations which need to be addressed on a minute to minute basis. All employees have risen to the occasion and have made us proud by their selfless contribution towards serving the cause.”
“However to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations, regional directors (RD) are advised to set up a 24×7 cell headed by respective RD monitoring all emergent issues of operation of flights. The cell should consist of representatives from operations, engineering, inflight service, medical, commercial and personnel department,” Bansal’s order, which asks for formation of these cells on Tuesday itself, says.
