MUMBAI: The BMC moved Bombay HC, seeking permission to use 11 buildings in Mahul, Chembur, as quarantine facility for suspected Covid-19 patients.
The court took up BMC’s intervention application in a pending PIL by an NGO and the mother of an undertrial, that cited orders of various courts which held Mahul was uninhabitable.
BMC’s application said that due to the increasing number of cases Covid, it is constrained to utilise 11 buildings at Mahul to quarantine contacts. The court asked the petitioners’ advocate to file a rejoinder to BMC’s application.
