Hello and welcome to TimesofIndia.com’s live coverage of Day 5 of the first Test between England and West Indies being played at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
We are headed into an exciting final day of the contest with the match beautifully poised between the two teams.
After Zak Crawley (76) and Dom Sibley’s (50) notable resistance on the penultimate day, it was a late burst from the Windies seamers that has put the visitors a bit ahead in the competition.
With Shannon Gabriel (3/62) leading the attack in the second innings, others too struck in unison for the West Indies as they pegged back England in the final session to put the hosts at 284/8 at stumps with a lead of 170 runs.
