The district also has the highest number of active cases at 833 and deaths — 141 — in the state. With 9,155 patients recovering, the district has a recovery rate of 90.38%. Haryana’s total cases have reached 41,635.
Meanwhile, the Covid-19 graph is Gurugram seemed to have improved over the past two weeks, with the district recording less than 100 cases daily for the tenth consecutive day. On Sunday, it reported 80 new cases. It has also not reported a single death in the past five days. So far, 125 people have died in the district.
At present, the total Covid-19 cases in Gurugram stand at 9,714. The health department said that 100 people recovered from the virus on Sunday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,926.
So far, 1,28,335 people have been put under surveillance in the district. The health department has sent 1,22,501 samples for testing, of which 1,10,780 turned out to be negative, while the results of 460 are still awaited.
On Sunday, seven people were put under government quarantine. The district has a total of 663 active cases, of which 523 are under home isolation.
The health authorities were able to collect 2,007 samples in the past 24 hours for antigen and RT-PCR tests.
Gurugram chief medical officer Dr Virender Yadav said, “We have formed 16 teams to conduct sero survey in the city. We are working to keep the infection under check. This study will help us understand how many people are impacted by the virus.”
