NEW DELHI: Left-arm spinner Anukul Roy might not get a chance to exhibit his bowling skills in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) but the young lad made a mark by taking a blinder after coming as a substitute fielder for the Mumbai Indians against Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

Former India U-19 player Anukul took the stunning catch in the first ball of the ninth over bowled by leggie Rahul Chahar.

Roy got rid of in-form Mahipal Lomror by throwing himself in the air while running backwards at short cover, ending up grabbing a fine stunner. Rajasthan were tottering at 42/4 in chase of 194 at that stage.
In the end, Mumbai registered a convincing 57-run victory after bowling out Rajasthan for 136 with 11 balls to spare.
Paceman Jasprit Bumrah was the wrecker-in-chief as he picked up four wickets for 20 runs in his quota of four overs while his fellow seamers Trent Boult and James Pattinson took two wickets apiece.

Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav smashed an unbeaten 79 off 47 balls to fire Mumbai to an imposing 193 for four against Rajasthan.
Mumbai suffered a mini middle-order collapse after a good start but late-hitting from Yadav and Hardik Pandya (30 not out off 19) enabled the defending champions to amass 51 runs in the last three overs.
The two shared 76 runs for the unbroken fifth wicket stand.
