The blast damaged false ceiling, cabins, parapet wall of the floor where the lab was situated. The BMC issued a notice asking the occupant to remove the loose portion of parapet to avoid any further incident.
Fire brigade engines rushed to the spot and controlled the situation. Officials checked the premises and said no one was trapped in the building. The BMC was not allowing anyone in the building premises for safety reason.

A woman passing from the area sustained minor injuries after broken glass fell on her.
