Mumbai woman slaps and abuses traffic cop, booked | Mumbai News – Times of India

MUMBAI: Bhoiwada police recently filed a first information report (FIR) against a 46-year-old Vile Parle resident who allegedly abused and slapped a traffic police constable after her daughter fell off her motorbike. The accused, Priti Khot, was annoyed as the constable stopped the two from jumping a signal which allegedly caused her daughter to fall off the bike.
On September 17, Khot was riding pillion with her daughter Megha. Constable Harish Urankar (42) stopped them at Parel TT junction, as they were trying to move forward on a red signal. Megha lost her balance and fell. Urankar went to help her, but Khot abused and slapped him.
Traffic police took Urankar and Khot to the Bhoiwada police station, where she was booked. She was also fined for the traffic signal violation, said an officer. Khot was served a notice and allowed to go.
