NEW DELHI: Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has thrown his weight behind Stuart Broad, saying that the England fast bowler has a “spring in his walk” and is back out there to make an impact.
England included Broad in the playing XI for the ongoing second Test against the West Indies, after leaving him out for the series-opener. It was for the first time in eight years that Broad missed a Test at home.
On day two at Old Trafford, Broad bowled five overs and gave away 14 runs after England declared their first innings at 469/9.
“There is a spring in @StuartBroad8’s walk and I have a feeling that he is out on the field with plenty to show. #ENGvWI,” Tendulkar tweeted.

West Indies ended day two at 32/1 in 14 overs, trailing by 437 runs, with Kraigg Brathwaite and Alzarri Joseph at the crease as Sam Curran dismissed opener John Campbell lbw for 12.
