Belle Bennett, Ronald Colman, Lois Moran, Alice Joyce, Jean Hersholt, Douglas Fairbanks Jr. Adapted for the screen by Frances Marion from the Olive Higgins Prouty novel. Directed by Henry King. ~ ~ ~ Classic tale of a well meaning mother (Belle Bennett) who comes to the painful realization she is preventing her daughter from having a better life. Direction, scenario and acting are superb. One of the finest films of the silent era.

Mabel Normand, Fred Mace, Phillip Parmalee, Jack Pickford, Kate Bruce. ~ ~ ~ Chubby (Fred Mace) is fond of Josephine (Mabel Normand) but she seems to prefer Slim the Aviator. And if that isn't bad enough, poor Chubby finds a way to make matters even worse for himself. Mabel at Biograph.
